Time For Change

One of my aims for 2017 was to, not only become healthier in myself, but also to use better quality products. As of yet, I am yet to have made many changes to the products I have in my life, however, the next month or so, I am now determined to change this.

I have spent the best part of the last five days with a severe eye infection, which is something I have always been prone too. Sometimes, the infections are actually triggered, initially, from an allergy to elements of certain products. Sometimes, it is simply an infection.

After the pain I’ve been in over the past few days, I’m on the course to find better products, mainly for my arms and face. To start with, I’ll be on the look out for separate daytime and nighttime moisturisers, as well as a cleanser and a body lotion. Currently, I use a Nivea night cream and a Boots own day cream. At the moment, I’m not using a cleanser, and my body lotion varies.

I’ve got my eyes on a few brands that I’m keen to try out, which I will talk about more in depth later on, but am always open to suggestions.

Hit me up with any ideas!

Stephen.

A Month Off

It was never intended so, but it appears that I took a month off from blogging! In truth, I’ve had very little to actually talk about. Since my holiday in Filey, I’ve been working overtime every week between my own store and to help out another local branch!

I’ve been exhausted, and unsociable, but am now determined to get back on track, both socially and with my diet!

Some of my plans for the month ahead include doing a little bit of work on the garden; I want to build some planters and get new plants down, as well as a huge amount of weeding and trimming. I’d also like to get my bathroom painted, but every month I seem to push that back a little more.

For some reason, the idea of finishing the bathroom fills me with absolute dread! I want it done, and it’s not really such a hard job. I just don’t seem to be able to motivate myself enough to do it!

I also need to get back on dog walks, as I’ve really slacked on taking the dog for her morning walk lately. It’s not fair on her, I know, but I’ve just not felt like it!

BUT I WILL GET THERE!

The Motivation Of An Undercooked Jacket Potato

MORNING! Out here in the hills of Nottinghamshire, it’s a misty one! Currently, I can only just see the car on my neighbours drive, opposite. I’ve taken the dog for a (short) walk and am currently ploughing headfirst through a mountain of laundry. I should be editing a rerelease of one of my books, but I have little to no motivation at present.

Actually, all I can think about is how bad I am at doing and keeping on top of my laundry when I’m at home. I don’t really have an excuse either, other than that, as I spend all day doing it at work, I just don’t want to do it.

But ‘just not wanting to’ isn’t, in my own opinion, a valid excuse. I should just do it, so that it doesn’t all sit around the house annoying me. It’s not that hard to actually get it all done; I’m just extremely lazy when it comes to doing it, which then results in the even more miserable ‘laundry day.’

One thing I should definitely try and focus on this year is being better around the house. My partner and I are slowly putting together a lovely house, which I am really proud of; and I should really commit to putting more time and effort into keeping it all spick and span!

All I actually want to do though, is sit at my (brand new) dining table and stare out of the window, into the mist. According to twitter, today is Motivation Monday. I have the motivation of an undercooked jacket potato.

*Sigh*
