Time For Change

One of my aims for 2017 was to, not only become healthier in myself, but also to use better quality products. As of yet, I am yet to have made many changes to the products I have in my life, however, the next month or so, I am now determined to change this.

I have spent the best part of the last five days with a severe eye infection, which is something I have always been prone too. Sometimes, the infections are actually triggered, initially, from an allergy to elements of certain products. Sometimes, it is simply an infection.

After the pain I’ve been in over the past few days, I’m on the course to find better products, mainly for my arms and face. To start with, I’ll be on the look out for separate daytime and nighttime moisturisers, as well as a cleanser and a body lotion. Currently, I use a Nivea night cream and a Boots own day cream. At the moment, I’m not using a cleanser, and my body lotion varies.

I’ve got my eyes on a few brands that I’m keen to try out, which I will talk about more in depth later on, but am always open to suggestions.

Hit me up with any ideas!

Stephen.

Weekly Update -8/2/17

Weight – 12stn 1   Weekly Steps – 55,403, ABYSMAL   Alcohol – 3 Bottles Wine, ALSO ABYSMAL   Savings – £12.28, ABYSMAL PROGRESS

I knew that my weight loss wouldn’t be as great (if at all) this week, so losing anything is a gain! I strongly believed that if I’d put more effort in and walking the dog a little more, and a little longer, it would have made a bigger difference. My aim this week is to be in the elevens!

I’ve also not been as commit to healthier options this week and have eaten two pizzas and drank almost three bottles of wine; which actually horrifies me now. BACK TO IT NOW! Saying that, i’ve still been refusing myself treats and snacks, which counts for something; especially when you live for chocolate!

In other news, I’ve applied for a new position at work, which I will talk about more in a separate post! Have a great week!

Well, Isn’t This A Great Start

Well, we’ve reached the end of week two of Stephen with a ph returning to blogging, and I’ve only managed to blog for one of those weeks. Aren’t I just damn fantastic? This isn’t what I actually intended, but I ended up working extra shifts this week at work, and was physically too tired when I got home to do much more than order takeout (I’m supposed to be on a diet…) and have a bath (I REALLY like baths).

Next week should be a return to the norm, all fingers crossed. I’m currently sat on my lovely, comfy sofa with my Romanian Terrier (please note not an actually breed) and a cup of tea, mentally preparing myself for a Sunday alone at work. I work every Sunday alone, and I actually quite like it this way. I’m just not feeling it today.

Before I go to work I’ll peel some potatoes and dish up some veg so that I can get a roast dinner cooking as soon as I’m home. I’m usually really prepared and organised with things, but the last few months at work have been really hectic and I’ve completely lost any sense of my usual routine!

Christmas is coming, and I really need to get started with at least the basics; but I don’t actually have a clue which basics to start with. Should I make my cards and gift tags first, or should I find peoples main presents and gift wrap. I’m pretty fussy on how I put together my Christmas gifts, and every year I tend to follow a theme. This year the theme is verging towards silvers and blues, with snowmen and snowflakes, but I’m not 100% set on that yet!

This has to be one of the most mundane posts. I’m pretty sure people don’t want to read about this sort of thing! I’ve got a few days off after today so we’ll pick up at a more interesting point tomorrow!

Have a great Sunday!

Stephen.
