Time For Change

One of my aims for 2017 was to, not only become healthier in myself, but also to use better quality products. As of yet, I am yet to have made many changes to the products I have in my life, however, the next month or so, I am now determined to change this.

I have spent the best part of the last five days with a severe eye infection, which is something I have always been prone too. Sometimes, the infections are actually triggered, initially, from an allergy to elements of certain products. Sometimes, it is simply an infection.

After the pain I’ve been in over the past few days, I’m on the course to find better products, mainly for my arms and face. To start with, I’ll be on the look out for separate daytime and nighttime moisturisers, as well as a cleanser and a body lotion. Currently, I use a Nivea night cream and a Boots own day cream. At the moment, I’m not using a cleanser, and my body lotion varies.

I’ve got my eyes on a few brands that I’m keen to try out, which I will talk about more in depth later on, but am always open to suggestions.

Hit me up with any ideas!

Weekly Update – 25/1/17

Weight – 12stn 7   Weekly Steps – 54,584   Alcohol – 2 Bottles Wine, Possibly Three…  Savings – £7.28, Progress

Well, all I can say about last week is that it was a struggle. I didn’t wear my Fitbit for two days, so my steps aren’t actually accurate, but it’s still disappointing to see such a low number. I’m still pleased as punch though that I managed to lose any weight at all! I resist every single sweet treat and unhealthy meal I could, and it was SO hard.

Success, though, is definitely sweeter. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!

Weekly Update – 18/1/17

Weight – 12stn 8   Weekly Steps – 84,283   Alcohol – 2 Bottles Wine, Exact  Savings – £2.29, Still

And that’s week two all over and done with. I’ve ‘technically’ not lost weight, as i’ve gone up to 9stn 8; however, it turns out my scales were on an unloved surface and not correctly recording my weight. Last week, on the 14th, I weighed myself at work, and came in at 12stn 9.

So, in the future, my weight shall only be recorded whilst at work; most likely every Saturday. We have decided to form a small group where we all weigh and record it every Saturday morning. Hopefully, this will motivate us all to work harder to lose a little. It’s certainly motivating me.

I’m currently still investigating and attempting to follow the 5:2 diet and so far, so good. Its simple and easy to follow, and the recipes are plentiful! I’m hoping to share some of my favourites with you in the coming days and weeks.

In other news, my dining room is now almost finished! Pictures to come.

Sorry for the short update!
